Bedroom mix (2006/05/24)

Here’s another short mix. I had to record it twice. The first time I unknowingly (accidentally) shifted the left channel’s balance slider (A) to the right while I was fiddling with the left channel’s bass/middle/treble knobs (B). That’s right, I’m still quite an amateur. But I enjoyed it the second time too… because usually I like to slip an unexpected track into my mixes if it is at all possible, and … that makes me laugh :) . In this case that was Eric Prydz [pic via]. Enjoy!

Bedroom mix (2006/05/22)

Well… here’s my first “test mix”. I recently got myself an Ecler HAK320 mixer and this is the first time that I really took the time to actually test it while recording myself with the Audacity (The Free Cross-Platform Sound Editor). The mixing and timing itself is not as nearly as good as I’d like it to be (especially the last transition with the crappy scratching fiasco), but that’s partly because I had to keep the volume of the main speakers quite low, so I didn’t wake up the neighbour’s baby… plus I really really really need A LOT more practice.
